Connecting Rasberry Pi using VNC Viewer
For connecting Raspberry Pi we don't require any separate monitor, HDMI cable, Keyboard and Mouse.
Troubleshooting Pi:
By using VNC, we can connect our Pi via remotely. we can use our Keyboard and mouse for controlling.
Prerequisites:
- Lan Cable
- USB Cable
- Booted Rasbian OS on MicroSD card with Rapberry Pi
Step 1:
Install VNC Viewer in your PC by using the below link.
Step 2:
Once Installed,
- Put your MircoSD card into Pi
- Power up your Pi using USB cable
- Connect LAN cable with your Pi and Laptop
Step 3:
Then open command prompt in your laptop by pressing, Windows Key + R then type "CMD" and press enter.
Then try to ping your Pi using this below line "ping raspberrypi.mshome.net"
Then you will get our Pi IP address. By using this we will login into it.
Step 4:
Open VNC viewer and enter the IP address. Then it will ask you for Username and password. The default credentials is shown below:
Username: pi
Password: raspberry
Once you logged in then the Rasbian desktop will appear.
Troubleshooting Pi:
If Pi is not pinging on command prompt then there is a troubleshooting method available to wake up it.
- Install Advanced IP Scanner software and open it using this link http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/
- Go to Control Panel \ Network and Internet \ Network Connections
- Right click on you Pi Ethernet
- Go to Properties and Navigate to Internet Protocol Version 4
- You will see some local IP address assigned for you Pi
- Just copy that
